Meagan entered this world on August 17th 1995. From the moment we saw her, we knew she was special. Meagan was diagnosed at a very early age with Pervasive Developmental Disorder. For those of you that knew Meagan, you know that even a diagnosis such as this would not hold her back. Meagan had a spirit unlike anyone else. She had a smile that never left her face, and she had a love in her heart that touched everyone around her. She welcomed everyone with a hug “whether you wanted it or not,” and she always made sure you left happier than you came. Meagan was never able to speak, but she made sure she was heard by everyone. Despite adversity and diversity, Meagan overcame every obstacle in her path. She participated in all aspects of life including the Special Olympics. Her strong will and determination made us all watch in awe. Having Meagan in our lives taught us all valuable lessons about faith, patience and love. We are all better people for having known her. God brought us Meagan as a gift and for 14 years it has been an honor and a blessing to know and love her.
Meagan was a 9th grader at Lewisville Learning Center. She loved watching the Christmas Story year round. She loved to dance with Barney, and her favorite television shows were Drake and Josh, and iCarly. Meagan enjoyed swimming, wearing gloves on her hands and she loved to look at herself in the mirror. Meagan enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics. Her favorite hobby was eating and wearing her food. Her favorite chore was vacuuming the house. Once you turned the vacuum cleaner over to her, she would never give it back willingly. Meagan will be missed by all, but her spirit and smile will never leave us.
